Caly PigeonClay enjoys a high-five and a smile more than the rest of his feathered friends. First time shooters usually arrive with the uncertainty you would associate with a job hunter at an interview. After being introduced to the feeling of that rifle on one’s shoulder and the anticipation of the trigger, they are happy to be part of the clay tribe. And so is Clay, to have a new friend. As an international sport, clay pigeon shooting has about 20 different variations. Originating in Britain during the late 1800’s, this sport has grown to worldwide stardom, giving Clay the near legendary status he has today. Clay Pigeon Adventures offers a wide range of shooting and other activities for the most fun you will have for a while. Our expert instructors can turn a first-timer into a well-trained, perfect-firing, pigeon-picking, straight-shooter. This experience will leave you wanting more!

As a family table sauce for many years it became very popular when introduced to Lapa-Lago Restaurant in Dongane Resort, Mozambique and patrons insisted on buying in larger volumes in order to take away. Epa! sauces distinguishes itself from the competition’s products by being uncooked, lemon based, made with fresh ingredients and containing no preservatives. The idea behind the uncooked sauce is to minimise the effort of food preparation and to have an easy frying, cook-in, marinade, basting, salad dressing and table sauce. The initial product – Epa! Lemon Zing is a mild very flavourful sauce and has been sold in and from the restaurant since March 2010. Through requests and popular demand from our numerous South African customers we come to the conclusion that it will be an extremely viable business to start with larger production of the sauces in South Africa, keeping the Mozambique ties for future export opportunity. In March 2012 the company identified suitable premises next to the N4 outside Sudwala, 33 km from Nelspruit, and started production. An integral part of the marketing strategy and brand awareness for Epa! is to focus on direct sales to the public at numerous festivals throughout South Africa and neighbouring Countries. We have since expanded our range of sauces to 8 delicious fresh multi-purpose products as well as an amazing complimentary fresh Range of multi-purpose Pastes. Epa! = Wow! ( The exclamation once you taste the freshness!)

Journey in styleFamily owned & operated Kevin and Fiona Record became famous for their high-quality overland truck safaris through deep remote Africa 25 years ago. Always keen to explore new places, they stumbled across a small island lost in time and untouched by modern civilization in the far north of Mozambique — Ibo Island in the stunning Quirimbas Archipelago. Road weary from years in trucks on the worst roads imaginable, they quickly negotiated to restore three ancient ruins to create what is today the unique experience of Ibo Island Lodge. Their travel agent business — Mozambique Travel — continued while they developed the lodge and soon became Mozambique’s largest booker of custom holidays and remains so today. Africa called, so Kevin and Fiona created a second agency under the Journey in Style brand to offer their clients African experiences in more countries. Journey in Style is now based in Cape Town where Kevin and Fiona oversee the business with a team of star Travel managers while raising two wonderful children. Our core values & services Journey in Style is absolutely focused on building customer happiness. Clients visiting Africa for the first time are going to have the experience of a lifetime. It is our responsibility to make sure that every aspect of their holiday, honeymoon or safari adds towards an incredible experience.

Experience the Northern Cape, South AfricaThe Northern Cape is a land of many diverse cultures, and of frontier history and brave missionaries. It offers countless challenges for adrenaline junkies, hikers, hunters and 4×4 adventurers. It has impressive parks with endless game and some of the most unique flora in the world.Much of its life and adventure is dependent on the sweeping tide of the Orange River, a 2 000km stretch of natural magnificence dubbed the !Garib (great river) by the Khoisan. It has ribbons of green along its banks that contrast with the arid surrounds. At some places it is 6km wide with an impassable torrent; at others, scarcely a stream. The Kalahari Desert can be likened to a colossal sweeping river of another kind. Its red sands that once rippled and moved are now mostly stable and home to hundreds of diverse species of flora and fauna.A place of vastness and silence, the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park (bigger than some countries) extends across much of the Kalahari. Every now and then, the unmistakable cry of an African fish eagle rings out, or the gut-wrenching roar of a black-maned Kalahari lion carries across the landscape. The openness continues to the vast koppie-strewn plains of the Karoo and Namakwa, where hardy succulents complement sweet grasses, and the clean, clear air is bedecked with stars at night.Photographers, writers and orators fail to adequately communicate the experience. After watching springbok pronk through the veld, hundreds of wildebeest migrating, a wild cat stalking its prey and shooting stars sprinting across the sky, you will realise that this is a destination you can’t merely read about or drive through – it’s a destination you have to participate in.

Come and experience the Northern Cape …

Tangled Tree wines are Van Loveren Family Vineyards’ tribute to our close relationship with nature. In keeping with this philosophy we chose packaging that is as environmentally friendly as possible.

Much time and dedication went into creating the packaging for the Tangled Tree range. We wanted to stay true to our word and create not only something that is beautiful to look at and hold, but that truly embodies the intention behind it.

The wine is bottled in PET and this minimizes the environmental impact in a number of ways:

  • PET, or polyethyline terephthalate, is an unbreakable thermal polymer that is also up to 80% lighter than glass. This makes wine in PET bottles ideal for consumption in the outdoors, allowing wine lovers to carry the bottles along easily and safely on hikes or for picnics.
  • It is completely recyclable.
  • The manufacturing process of these bottles has a significantly lighter carbon footprint (up to 75% less) than glass bottles.
  • The cartons used to transport the wine are also completely recyclable.

MBT_RGB_s_logoAbout Mossel Bay Mossel Bay is located exactly halfway between Cape Town – the provincial capital of the Western Cape Province – and Port Elizabeth (both 400 km away), so it’s your ideal holiday destination, and the logical place to stop and relax on any local itinerary. The broader area where we are located is known as the Garden Route. The Garden Route is known for its diversity in nature and mild climate. The coastal area is mainly Fynbos ( Riversdal – Mossel Bay ), as well as forested areas ( George – Tsitsikamma ) and in the northern section ( Oudtshoorn ) you will find a semi-desert climate and scenery. Weather & Nature We have more than 60 kilometres of beaches – and warm, beach-going weather throughout the year (with at least 300 days of sunshine in every 365!); the riches of the Indian Ocean, the Cape Fynbos and the Outeniqua Mountains; Culture that stretches back over 164,000 years; 21st century infrastructure; and accommodation for every budget. Why visit Mossel Bay? We have the perfect mix between adventure, family, activities, culture, great local and traditional cuisine, pristine beaches, warm atmosphere and friendly people. Centrally located in the Garden Route, Mossel Bay is the perfect ‘base station’ for your holiday. All the other towns are a short scenic drive away. ‘Day trips’ is a popular term in our area, as our guests love to visit the Garden Route but stay in our cozy bay. Truly a great destination to visit and explore the Garden Route from. But it won’t all be relaxing – because there really are so many things to do here. We hope you enjoy browsing our site – so many adventures, so many attractions! – and that we’ll see you soon in Mossel Bay.
